I’m really pleased with how this looks! I’ve created a “woven ring” from purpleheart and mahogany which has been inset into a field of maple. The flower, with a crooked stem and leaves of kewazinga is done in red-dyed poplar. The end result is just a treat! The red flower captures the eye, and the woven ring leads the eye to the stem. :)

The flip side is mahogany (not shown). It’s a warm, soft brown that will go with any woodwork you may have.
